Accomplishments: Attended Design Thinking Workshop and practiced it by exploring both hardware- and software-based solutions.

Accomplishments: Presented sensor options and new functionalities to client and began to order parts.

Accomplishments: Unsuccessful attempt to build the locking circuit with bolt locks. Looking into using a servo motor as a lock instead.

Accomplishments: Successfully constructed locking circuit and code with push buttons to represent sensors. Began 3D modeling of case.

Accomplishments: Developed an organized system diagram, successfully tested blocking smart key signals, and 3D printed a prototype.

Accomplishments: Tested prototype with locking circuit and made necessary adjustments to case. Compared similar parts to use in final product.

Accomplishments: Phone/key detection and lid detection were tested with RFID tags and reed switches respectively. Preparation of semester's end.

Accomplishments: RFID readers and emergency button were tested and successfully integrated into the circuit.

Accomplishments: Life-sized prototype was 3D printed and new plan for emergency notification has been devised.

Accomplishments: Began testing of emergency messaging app on android tablet and revised state diagram.

Accomplishments: Recieved bluetooth module for Arduino, which shifted testing of emergency messaging app from tablet to phone.

Accomplishments: Further developed the messaging app for the phone and printed second life-sized prototype.

Biweekly Status Report 7

Accomplishments: Soldered and troubleshooted the second life-sized prototype and began preparations for semester's end.
